Notice of Construction: Clam Harbour and Lawrencetown Beach Provincial Parks

Please be aware that beginning in March construction will take place at Clam Harbour and Lawrencetown Beach Provincial Parks. Machinery will be on-site. Please use caution and avoid areas under construction identified by signage and barricades. At Lawrencetown Beach, the western entrance to the parking lot will be closed during construction. Visitors may still access the Lawrencetown Beach parking lot via the eastern entrance off highway 207.

Lawrencetown Beach Redevelopment Project

This March will see the commencement of the redevelopment of Lawrencetown Beach with the development of the surfers' beach area in the western end of the parking lot. Based on conceptual plans presented in June 2019, work includes the construction of a raised platform with new changes houses and a vault toilet, as well as the realignment of the Atlantic View Trail and Park entrance.  The existing core facility that currently houses the washrooms and showers, at Lawrencetown Beach, will remain in operation for the upcoming season.

Clam Harbour Core Facility Demolition

Demolition of the core facility building at Clam Harbour Beach will occur this March as part of a larger redevelopment of the beach facilities within the Provincial Park.  Work includes the dismantling and removal of the large core facility structure as well as the old lifeguard structure.  For the upcoming season, while redevelopment plans are being finalized, portable toilets will be provided.
